Cole Library

A Gateway to Knowledge

Cole Library supports the mission of the school and its core values of Community, Character, Balance and Involvement. Westminster's Academic Overview asserts that each student "will become an informed, bold, resourceful and ethical decision maker." The library, as both a physical and virtual gateway to knowledge, seeks to enable students, faculty and staff to enhance not only their intellectual, academic and cultural pursuits, but also to explore their diverse talents and interests.

The library is a center for research, study, collaboration, inspiration, exploration and problem-solving. We encourage students to become information literate, independent learners, able to access, retrieve, critically evaluate and effectively and ethically use information.

In addition to assisting students with research, we try to foster a love of literature and reading. We offer help and advice where needed, while also encouraging students to explore independently, by making the resources accessible and easy to use. The library's web page is the default home page for public computers on campus.
